Process for Coaches Conflict/Coverage

Call/Text/Email into Angel ([e-mail]) and cc [e-mail]
 

• If a coach can find their own coverage:
  • Message goes to Angel of the absence and the coverage planned for the game.

• If a coach cannot find their own coverage:
  • Communicate to Angel - Can text, call, email or Complete the Coach Conflict Coverage Google form - which goes to Angel to help get coverage:
  • Coach Coverage Request (google.com)
  • Coach can request another coach to be contacted and asked specifically
  • Coach can give a list of coaches he/she wants to start with
• Coach that has conflict then needs to provide covering coach an email (cc’ing Angel) with the following additional details:
  • Details of the pregame/game/postgame
    • Day/Time/Place of game
    • Color the team will be wearing
    • What time the covering coach needs to be there
    • What time to start warm up
      • What to do for warm up
    • Lineup/formation for team and subbing
    • Connect team manager and covering coach to ensure all paperwork, check in requirements and referee fees are covered.
• The person covering the game should be RSC approved (onboarded)
  • Needs to have completed the background check and passed the safesport course
  • Coaches Voice - if doing an ECNL game
  • No parent or team manager should be covering a game

Not adhering to this and action leads to club being in disrepute:

1:  Coach receives verbal warning

2:  Coach receives $100 fine

3:  Coach removed from team
 

Note - escalation to 2 or 3 can be immediate if issue warrants.
